The longest-running title was the monthly "Uniwersytet Zielonogórski" (2001?2020), published for as many as nineteen years, while the one-day paper "Faktor"/"DeFaktor" (1975?1989, 1992) and the monthly "UZetka" (2002?2017) were issued for fifteen years each. Student periodicals were published only in state higher education institutions?the Teacher Training College, the Higher School of Engineering, the Higher School of Pedagogy, the Zielona Góra Polytechnic, and the University of Zielona Góra.Many novice editors, poets, prose writers, essayists, journalists, reporters, illustrators, graphic designers, and photojournalists who debuted in student periodicals had the opportunity to establish a media presence and pursue careers in journalism, the arts, literature, visual arts, photography, or academia. Some went on to work in professional press teams, radio and television editorial offices, published literary books, joined professional creative associations and became affiliated with cultural and academic institutions or higher education schools, earning academic degrees. Others became involved in theatre, film and stage performance.
