The authors attempt to answer four research questions: - are youth and young adults more bent on compensatory and compulsive shopping compared to the general population? - has there been, compared to 2010, an increase in the rate of people aged 18-29 characterized by the propensity for compensatory and compulsive shopping? - to what extent, variables like sex, age and household income diversify the propensity for compensatory and compulsive shopping? - to what extent, relations with independent variables noticed in 2010 reoccur in the second round of the study, i.e. in 2016? Measuring the propensity for compensatory and compulsive shopping was carried out on the basis of German Compulsive Buying Indicator. The presented results stem from two studies conducted in 2010 and 2016 on a representative sample of 1000 Poles aged 15 and over. The data were gathered using the face-to-face interview technique.}, title={Młodzież w polskim społeczeństwie konsumpcyjnym.
