With the development of new technologies, the progressing digitalisation, and the evolution of the information society, the digital exclusion of seniors increases. The Silver Code Project focuses on discovering new solutions to prevent this phenomenon, offering education in programming as an opportunity to boost seniors` ICT skills.}, abstract={As part of the project, an initial diagnosis was conducted regarding the level of social exclusion of seniors in partner countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Slovenia) as well as their expectation interest in programming courses and expectations for such courses the methods of implementation. Based on the results of the conducted research, it may be stated that even beginner computer users may be interested in programming, and they expect to be taught with the use of traditional as well as innovative methods.
