 abstract={The aim of this paper was to determine the heavy metals (Zn, Pb, Cd) pollution in forest environment in Brynica district of Forest inspectorates Świerklaniec. Determination of their accumulation in top layer of soils horizon and forest litter. Samples of top layer of soils (0-20 cm) and forest litter were taken at 31 systematically located points on the 1500 x 1500 m grid in July 2008.},
 abstract={The heavy metals contents were measured by Atomic Absorbcion Spectrometry (AAS). The concentration of trace elements was diverse in dependence of studied metal and distance from metallurgic complex "Miasteczko Śląskie". The highest concentrations of studied trace elements were marked in close neighbourhood of "Miasteczko Śląskie".},
 abstract={Metal pollutants are likely to be contained close to their emission source, these concentrations showed negative correlation with distance from metallurgic complex. The highest accumulations were noted in forest litter. The analyses have confirmed considerable contamination of heavy metals of forest environment in Brynica district.},
