 abstract={While raking over the western and northern terrains in 1945, the Polish country did not havea clearly defined policy towards the Polish indigenous population. Russian and Polish soldiers entering these areas, as well as Polish administrative authorities, had oftentimes treated themas Germans or half-Germans, and thus as the enemy.},
 abstract={The lack of understanding of these lands' specifics resulted in a harsh and often restrictive re-Polonization policy, which bore the marksof Polonization. The verification of origins was also of such character and even the most notedPolish activists had to prove their Polishness. The following years did not bring any turns for the better. Generally, during the whole period of the People's Republic of Poland the indigenous people were treated with distrust. They were considered second-class citizens.},
 abstract={These experienceswere shared by the whole indigenous population, including the people from Babimost Lands. The indigenous citizens present on this terrain during the whole People's Republic period amounted to a number of approximately 3 thousand. The environment of indigenous people remained a subject of particular interest for the Security Service.},
 abstract={It only confirmed the lack of trust that the government had towards this group of people. A direct consequence of this situation was the fact that the indigenous people distanced themselves from any government activities. The most radical form of this stance we re the example of people who left Poland. And in the case of people who did not receive the permission to leave-passivity. The effect of People's Republic ethnic policy are visible to this day.},
