The artistic texts record only the selective polite manners, nevertheless the way of narration - characterized by the numerous references to the talks of the peasant heroes - decides about the common polite formulas appearing in this epic poem, the welcoming ones - mainly of the religious character ("Pochwalony!", "Pochwalon!", "Szczęść Boże!"/"Lord be with you!", "Praise the Lord!", "God speed you!"), rarely laic ("Witajcie!"/"Be Welcom"), or farewell ones ("Ostaj z Bogiem!", "Z Bogiem!"/"Stay with God", "Żegnaj!", "Żegnajcie!"/"Farewell!"). The modified formulas are considerably even more rare, while seldom they can be the spontaneous courtesy and honorific expressions such as, f. ex. "Na wieki!", "Witajcie w te strony!" ("For ever and ever!", "Welcome in our land!").}, abstract={In this case also the modification of the typical formula is dictated mostly by the versification reasons, because thanks to it the verse has eleven syllables and the rhyme. However, only the versification reasons decide about the activation of the such unusual expressions as f..ex. "Witajcie tą mową"/"Welcome with that words".}, abstract={Moreover, in the poem appear the numerous descriptions of the motions accompanying the welcoming and farewell formulas (f. ex. zdjąć czapkę/take off a hat, zniżyć kark/bend a neck, uderzyć w honory/do the honours, ścisnąć prawicę/shake a hand), as well as the descriptions of the polite acts themselves, f. ex. "pochwalić Boga"/"praise the Lord" (when welcoming), "witać"/"Welcom" or "żegnać się"/"bid farewell".}, type={rozdział w książce}, title={Powitania i pożegnania w "Panu Balcerze w Brazylii" Marii Konopnickiej - automatyzm, spontaniczność, wymogi wersyfikacyjne? = Greetings and farewells in "Sir Balcer in Brazil" of Maria Konopnicka - automatism, spontaneity, versification requirements?}, keywords={grzeczność językowa, grzeczność pozajęzykowa, grzecznościowe formuły powitalne, grzecznościowe formuły pożegnalne, Konopnicka, Maria (1842-1910), "Pan Balcer w Brazylii", wymogi wersyfikacyjne, linguistic politeness, non-linguistic politeness, "Sir Balcer in Brazil", polite welcoming formulas, polite farewell formulas, versification requirements}, }
