Its growing popularity has also resulted in a significant number of studies, comments and analyses devoted to both individual works or specific authors, as well as more universal problems concerning all representations of the genre. Among the most frequently discussed issues, one can mention the case of the literariness of reportage, acceptable (?) elements of fiction, or the boundaries of the genre. In addition, many literary and press experts also analyse reportages regarding subject matter, functions, composition or style.}, abstract={The latter issue, i.e. the stylistics and linguistic structure of reportage, is the least frequently discussed. On the one hand, this is understandable. After all, each artist has their style and language, and the right to use various artistic means generally used in epics was granted to reportage a long time ago. On the other hand, however, it is impossible to resist the impression that researchers have neglected the problem of reportage style, that the same phrases are constantly repeated in reviews or analyses of works belonging to this genre. Journalists are praised for being restrained and laconic.}, abstract={These features are manifested by their avoidance of adjectives and favouritism towards nouns and verbs, prioritising storytelling over description, focusing on and giving voice to the individual, and maintaining a dynamic narrative pace (achieved by appropriate proportions of single and complex sentences and coordinates). All these features allow us to presume that there may be a general style of Polish literary journalism, which is why it is worth asking questions about it.}, abstract={This article will be devoted to one specific rhetorical figure, namely enumeration. I think it has a unique function in Polish reportage and has a special structural affinity with it. Reporters extremely often use it: it was Ryszard Kapuściński`s "favorite ploy" (as noticed by J. Jastrzębski, B. Nowacka and Ziątek or M. Horodecka), it is Wojciech Tochman`s "hallmark" (M. Wiszniowska), in Hanna Krall`s works it dominates on a par with repetition (M. Ratajczak). Furthermore, Artur Rejter states that the enumeration is "a very characteristic exponent of the precision of the description of travel reportage texts".}, abstract={However, the prevalence of enumeration in Polish reportage is not the only reason why the relationship between the rhetorical figure and the genre seems worth closer examination and discussion. Enumeration can be both the domain of chaos and order; it combines the general and the detailed, can reveal excess and deficiency, and can present a unique view and a supra-individual, universal perspective, just like a reportage.}, abstract={The aim of this article is to check whether enumerations appearing in reportage differ in structure, function or frequency of occurrence from those appearing in other literary genres. This research will be conducted based on the works of three Polish reporters: Hanna Krall, Ryszard Kapuściński and Krzysztof Kąkolewski. Comparison of reportage and drama, poems, novels and short stories published by these authors will, I hope, indicate whether the roles of enumeration are reserved for one genre or universal in both fiction and non-fiction literature.
