TY - GEN A1 - Sztyber, Radosław A2 - Sztyber, Radosław - red. nacz. PB - Zielona Góra: Uniwersytet Zielonogórski, Instytut Filologii Polskiej N2 - This article attempts to present an old Polish print entitled "Fresh Talks on the News from Ukraine, from Hungary and from Turkey" [Rozmowy świeże o nowinach z Ukrainy, z Węgier i z Turek] and its major as it may be believed secret. The abovementioned leaflet is known by a few specialists, and its previous descriptions seem to be inappropriate because of some quite obvious mistakes concernig i.a. the number of debaters or the time of this written relics publication. N2 - The new verified data allow to organize our knowledge about the dialogue and form the basis for identifying a real person hidden in the literary and plastic rebus (included in the print). A lot of tracks lead to Samuel Łaszcz a famous soldier, brawler, liar and jester. Probably it was him who was portrayed with a Baroque woodcut representing a clown but he appears as just a bit of buffoon. N2 - This man had serious reasons to stay in disguise because he was frequently outlawed and received his first ever sentence of banishment just in the year of printing the studied booklet. Such a solution of the riddle should be regarded as a hypothesis although it is based on historical facts and Łaszcz?s biography confronted with the brochure from 1621.
