TY - GEN A1 - Opaliński, Konrad PB - Zielona Góra: Oficyna Wydawnicza Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego N2 - The aim of this paper is to present a critique of Brief measure to assess perception of self-influence on the disease course - the version for schizophrenia, to illustrate problems with test positions that may influence the overall clinical evaluation of the respondents. The analysis has been conducted in accordance with methodology of discursive psychology (DP) and applied in three parts: 1) biomedical background accompanying the formation of the research tool, 2) the construct of the ?ideal patient? and 3) ignoring contexts different from biomedical ones, in this case, the subjective experiencing symptoms. The obtained results illustrate the problematic interpretation of test results, the formation of which ignores contexts other than those associated with the dominant biomedical discourse, which may result in difficulties interpreting test results.
