In the paper under the above title the author postulates to pay attention to the pupils' extraschool literary reading experiences. It is assumed that they form a weighty reference system for the consideration on the modernization of teaehing literature in school. ; This postulate leads to the question of extraschool determinants of the pupils' literary consciousness and bears fruit in the form of an attempt for revealing these determinants and for pointing out their consequenees as a stimulator to literary education in school.
