Książka podejmuje zagadnienie obrazu świata w dziewiętnastowiecznych czasopismach dla dzieci i młodzieży, które do tej pory nie było przedmiotem systematycznych badań językoznawców. Metodologicznie monografia mieści się w nurcie lingwistyki kulturowej. Ze względu na różnorodność wyekscerpowanego materiału zastosowane są metody: od paradygmatu badań językowego obrazu świata po normatywne ujęcie kategorii poprawności językowej. ; Szczegółowemu oglądowi poddano: kategorię pamięci, która okazuje się najważniejsza w systemie wartości kształtowanym i odbijanym przez analizowane czasopisma, apoteozę ojczyzny jako pojęcie ciągle ważne w polskiej tradycji i kulturze, rolę języka ojczystego w kształtowaniu tożsamości narodowej oraz znaczenie drukowanych w periodykach tekstów literackich. ; Jak pokazały analizy, w czasopismach dla dzieci i młodzieży w całym XIX wieku obraz wartości i ich hierarchia zdeterminowany był, podobnie jak w rozwijającej się w tym czasie rodzimej literaturze dla dzieci i młodzieży, sytuacją polityczną, społeczną i kulturalną, a także oświatową Polski, w jakiej znalazła się po trzech rozbiorach, jak i programowymi dokonaniami literackimi romantyków i pozytywistów.
Abstract:
The book addresses the issue of the image of the world in nineteenth-century magazines for children and young people, which has not been the subject of systematic research by linguists so far. Methodologically, the monograph falls within the stream of cultural linguistics. Due to the diversity of the excerpted material, the methods applied range from the paradigm of research into the linguistic image of the world to the normative approach to the category of linguistic correctness. ; The category of memory, which turns out to be the most important in the system of values shaped and reflected by the analysed periodicals, the apotheosis of the homeland as a notion still important in Polish tradition and culture, the role of the mother tongue in the shaping of national identity and the significance of literary texts printed in the periodicals, were examined in detail. ; As the analyses have shown, in magazines for children and young people throughout the nineteenth century, the image of values and their hierarchy was determined, as in the indigenous literature for children and young people developing at the time, by the political, social and cultural situation, as well as the educational situation of Poland in which it found itself after the three partitions, and by the programmatic literary achievements of the Romantics and Positivists.
