Zmiany zachodzące w społeczeństwie powodują rosnącą niepewność co do kierunków kształcenia. Coraz trudniej odpowiedzieć na pytanie: czego mamy uczyć? Mimo rosnącej niepewności, liczba osób podejmujących studia na uczelniach wyższych wciąż rośnie. Nauki humanistyczne i społeczne cieszą się nieustającym zainteresowaniem młodych ludzi. Bardzo często decydują się oni na studiowanie pedagogiki, jednak nie zawsze zdają sobie sprawę z istoty tej dyscypliny. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na pytanie: co - zdaniem studentów - kryje się pod pojęciem "pedagogika"? Czy ich wiedza ma charakter naukowy, czy też jest to raczej wiedza potoczna?

Abstract:

Changing society causes growing uncertainty about the directions of education. It becomes increasingly difficult to answer the question: what shall we teach? Despite the growing uncertainty, the number of people undertaking studies at university is still on the increase. Humanities and social sciences are continuously of a great interest to young people. They very often decide to study education, however, they do not always realize the essence of this discipline. The objective of this paper is to search the answer to the question: what - in students` opinion - is hidden behind the name "education"? Whether the students` knowledge is of a scientific character or it is rather common knowledge?
