 abstract={The paper describes the reclamation of post-mining areas of the "Budwity" peat excavation. As a result of peat extraction, the bottom layer of peat was exposed. The shallow peat soils developed from transition and low peats of thickness ca. 50 cm. The underlying material composes sand or rarely detrital gyttja. Soils are wet, and in local hollows water over-flows the surface. The best conditions for peat-forming process are in filled with water hollows and their edges where water level is close to the surface.},
