 abstract={The aim of the article is to present the issue of health, health and hygiene promotion in the light of women`s sport press in the interwar years. In the years 1927-1936, a magazine "Start" was published and it was dedicated to the aspects of physical education, sport and hygiene in relation to women. It promoted physical activity as a health factor which should be dosed reasonably and emphasised the influence of physical activity on a human organism.},
 abstract={Articles published in the magazine covered the problems related to medicine of sport, mainly to the need of medical examinations in sport. Some articles were on emergency issues, healthy lifestyle and body care. The editors of "Start" promoted publications in the field of health, hygiene and dietetics. They saw the problem of intensity of physical activity in women`s professional work.},
