The comparative study considered three variables: the level of experienced stress, coping styles, and positivity level. Additionally, the correlation between stress levels and positive attitudes in parents was examined. Three questionnaires were used in the study: the PSS-10 (Perceived Stress Scale), the CISS (Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations), and the PT (Positivity Test).}, abstract={The results indicate significantly higher stress levels in parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) compared to parents of neurotypical children, as well as a more frequent use of emotion-focused and avoidance-focused coping strategies, while less frequent use of task-focused coping strategies. The level of positivity, negatively correlated with stress levels, was lower in most subscales in this group of parents. The results confirm the need to support parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with methods appropriate to their needs.}, type={rozdział w książce}, title={Radzenie sobie ze stresem u rodziców dzieci ze spektrum autyzmu = Coping with stress for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder}, keywords={rodzice dzieci ze spektrum autyzmu, poziom stresu, pozytywne nastawienie, parents of children on the autism spectrum, stress level, positivity level}, }
