During this operation, nearly 150,000 citizens of the Republic of Poland of Ukrainian nationality were displaced from south-eastern Poland and deported to the Western and Northern Territories, where they were forcibly resettled in a highly dispersed manner.}, abstract={Following the collapse of the communist regime in Poland, some of the families affected by Operation "Vistula" undertook efforts to recover the real property from which they had been expelled. The Lemkos - inhabitants of a region in the Carpathian Mountains - played a leading role in the struggle to regain their ancestral lands. Their primary objective was the recovery of forest lands taken over by the state in the aftermath of Operation "Vistula".}, abstract={The study is divided into two parts. The first part examines the efforts of the population displaced during Operation "Vistula" to reclaim their lost ancestral lands and presents statistical data illustrating the actual outcomes of these efforts. The temporal scope of the analysis covers the years 2001-2021, a period representing the most intense and emotionally charged phase of the "dispute over Lemko forests." Although the dispute continues to this day, its intensity has significantly diminished. The second part focuses on the administrative and judicial proceedings initiated by the Lemko Ksenicz family in their attempt to recover part of their former farmstead in the village of Konieczna, in Gorlice County. This property was taken over by the State Forests after 1947.}, type={książka}, title={"Spór o lasy łemkowskie" w latach 2001-2021}, keywords={akcja "Wisła", mniejszość ukraińska - Polska, Lasy Państwowe, spór prawny, Operation "Vistula", Ukrainian minority in Poland, State Forests, restitution dispute}, }
