 abstract={The aim of the monograph was to provide a comprehensive discussion of the perennial problem of stereotypes and violence against children and women, informed by the most current publications. Therefore, the monograph includes numerous chapters describing the history of treating children, including as sexual objects. Various types of violence, including domestic violence, affecting children and their consequences are discussed. It provides a historical outline of emerging children`s rights, with particular emphasis on Poland, current access to sex education (including in Germany), in the context of health, but also as a form of protection against teenage pregnancy.},
 abstract={Furthermore, it addresses the stories of women from ancient times who liberated themselves from stereotypes, their participation in science - including the biography of Maria Curie-Skłodowska - and the fight for equal treatment (the history of feminism and the suffragettes). The chapter also discusses initiatives promoting conscious motherhood in the newly reborn Poland (the interwar period, including Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński and his writings). International initiatives promoting women`s rights are also discussed, as are current examples of the mistreatment of women found online. The chapter on the various facets of altruism can serve as a warning against those who conceal their nefarious natures under the guise of "good men" (Jones`s dark triad). In the opinion of the reviewers, the monograph can be considered both an interesting read and a source of scholarly knowledge.},
