 abstract={The article was devoted to the analysis of the text and genre of the statute of urban professional communities called guilds with the example of social and confraternity articles of Krakow guilds from the 16th and 17th centuries. These articles, observed in pragmatic, structural, cognitive and linguistic-stylistic aspects, show the development of a specific genre, occurring mainly in the canonical and alternation variants. The indicated type of text is very cognitively interesting.},
 abstract={The oldest such documents written in Old Polish come from the mid-15th century, and they already have the form of a fully developed genre. Studying them may bring content that has so far been poorly taken into account in research on both the Old Polish and Middle Polish languages, in their formal, official and written varieties. However, it is problematic to find source texts and embed them in a series of documents from the life of a particular community. Finding or reconstructing the original shape of the privilege and confraternity articles would perhaps allow pointing out the similarities and differences between subsequent documents and the way in which the genre was transformed to meet the needs of a specific urban communicative community.},
