The category of oblivion in question appears mainly when considering memory, so this discussion is a contribution to the linguistic image of oblivion in contemporary discourse. The material basis consists of collocations extracted from the National Corpus of Polish Language with the component non-memory and its grammatical forms: non-memory, non-memory for the years 1989-2010.}, abstract={The obtained linguistic data show that in contemporary discourse the mutual relationship between the areas of memory and non-memory is revealed. On the other hand, the conducted analyses highlight the fact that in the general discourse the two categories are contrasted at the axiological level. Today, non-memory is conceptualized primarily in spatial terms, where collocations realize in general terms such conceptual metaphors as: NON-MEMORY IS A SHELL, A HOLIDAY, A GRAVE, A STUDY, A CHELL, A SHELL.}, abstract={Non-memory is often conceptualized as an element of nature, and then the metaphors dominate: NON-MEMORY IS A COUNTRY, A WATER COLLECTION, A FALL. In talking about oblivion extremely often appears the procedure of personification, where on the one hand it is seen as a part of a person, and on the other an independent entity. The metaphor of UNMEMORY IS A LIVING ISTITY//ORGANISM is then realized. One can also note the use of the lexeme oblivion at the level of deautomatization of linguistic formulas of existing phraseologisms and established phrases.}, type={rozdział w książce}, title={Sposoby mówienia o "niepamięci" we współczesnym dyskursie (szkic do badań językowego obrazu "niepamięci") = Ways of talking about "oblivion" in contemporary discourse (A sketch for the study of the linguistic image of "oblivion")}, keywords={pamięć, niepamięć, dyskurs pamięcioznawczy, kolokacja, metafora pojęciowa, memory, oblivion, memory science discourse, collocation, conceptual metaphors}, }
