 abstract={The article discusses the literary and documentary values of memoirs of Maria of the Bochdans Obertyńska (1861-1956) published in 2012 under the title "Pamiętnik Galicjanki" (Galicjan`s Diary) "(1914-1917)" and incorrectly attributed to Magdalena Bylczyńska (1887-1966).},
 abstract={The article presents: 1) historical events recorded by the diarist, 2) the autor`s and her family`s life during the war, 3) the situation of civilians during the war, 4) attitudes demonstrated during the war by the Poles, Ruthenians and Jews. Some of the facts presented in the diary were confronted with the journalistic relations about the Great War included in "Kurier Lwowski" ("the Lvov Courier") whose reader was the author of the memoirs.},
