PB - Zielona Góra: Oficyna Wydawnicza Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego N2 - The paper presents research into the firmness of soil formations in former building aggregate extraction areas carried out by means of an Eijkelkamp penetrometer. At the same time changes in the dampness of soil were researched. N2 - The results showed a considerable influence of dampness on firmness. The moisture content in soil masses in August was smaller almost 100% in comparison with results got in May 2002. The depth of penetration of soils in August was only about 6,4 cm smaller than this got in May, however the resistances on penetrometer were larg-er about 300%.
