Abstract_pl:

W niniejszym artykule skupiam się na przedstawieniu i omówieniu aspektów, które przyczyniły się do sukcesu pierwszej i drugiej części amerykańskiej produkcji "Shrek". Czynniki, które omawiam, są w większości charakterystyczne również dla pozostałych filmów animowanych bądź tych z udziałem aktorów. Formuła zaproponowana przez twórców "Shreka" tak bardzo się sprawdziła, że animacje powstałe po 2001 r. są tworzone w podobnym duchu i sięgają po sprawdzone środki. Mowa tu m.in. o stworzeniu całej siatki aluzji do świata popkultury, absurdalnym humorze, parodii, wykorzystaniu głosów znanych aktorów czy nowoczesnych technologii komputerowych przy tworzeniu animowanych postaci i ich bajkowego świata.

Abstract:

In this article, I focus on presenting and discussing the aspects that contributed to the success of the first and second parts of the American production "Shrek". The discussed factors are predominantly characteristic of either animated or live-action movies. The formula proposed by the creators of "Shrek" proved effective to the extent that all the animations made after 2001 have been created in a similar way. Alluding to the world of popculture, absurd humor, parody, using famous actors` voices and applying the cutting-edge technologies are central to creating animated characters and their fairy-tale world.
