Abstract_pl:Uniwersytet Zielonogórski jest jednym z najmłodszych w kraju, ale w życiu naszego miasta odgrywa bardzo ważną rolę ze swoim potencjałem akademickim i kulturalnym. Jego akademicki rozwój odbywa się na ogół własnym wysiłkiem, co jest trudnym zadaniem dla młodej uczelni położonej na prowincji kraju. ; Choć Uczelnia realizuje wiele zadań stymulujących rozwój miasta, napotyka wiele trudności, głównie ekonomicznych. Pokonanie ich powinno być priorytetem dla miasta i regionu. W przeciwnym razie szansa na zachowanie statusu i akademickiego charakteru Zielonej Góry może zostać zmarnowana.
Abstract:The University of Zielona Gora is one of the youngest in the country but in the life of our city it plays a very important role with its academic and cultural potential. Its academic development is performed generally through its own efforts, which is a difficult task for a young university situated in the province of a country. ; Although the University fulfils a lot of tasks stimulating city development, it faces plenty of difficulties, mainly economic ones. Overcoming them should be a priority for the city and the region. If not, the chance of keeping the status and the academic character of Zielona Gora might be wasted.
