Abstract_pl:Stanisław to imię pochodzenia słowiańskiego, reprezentujące własny, rodzimy system nazywania osób, odziedziczony z epoki prasłowiańskiej i nawiązujący do indoeuropejskich systemów nazewniczych. Jest to nazwa dwuczłonowa, oparta na dwóch leksemach: Stani- (temat czasownikowy od stanąć?) + -sław "sława". ; W Polsce imię to jest znane od XIII w. Po raz pierwszy pojawiło się w 1212 r. w postaci "Filius S t a n i s l a u i Martinus canonicus". Przez wiele stuleci było to imię bardzo popularne, jednak od lat 60. XX w. jego popularność maleje.
Abstract:Stanisław is the name of Slavonic origin representing its own, native system of naming people. It came from the proto-Slavonic epoch and referred to Indo-European naming systems. It is a compound name based on two lexemes: Stani- (root of the verb stand) + -sław "fame". ; In Poland this name has been known since the 13th century. The first record of the name can be found in the document from 1212, then in the form: "Filius S t a n i s l a u i Martinus canonicus". For many centuries it was the name of a very popular, but since the sixties of the 20 th century, its popularity is decreasing.
