Celem opracowania autorstwa jest ukazanie strategii zachowań politycznych młodzieży w sytuacji pogarszającej się kondycji stanu kultury politycznej w Polsce. Szczególną uwagę Autorzy zwracają na wykorzystanie nowoczesnych technologii informacyjnych. Poszukują także odpowiedzi na pytania o to: jaki jest poziom aktywności politycznej młodzieży, jakie są źródła ich informacji politycznej, jakie są strategie aktywności politycznej młodzieży? Empiryczną podstawą są tu wyniki badania sondażowego, realizowanego w 2013 roku wśród dorosłych mieszkańców Zielonej Góry.

Abstract:

The main reason of the authors` interest in political behaviours of the youth was the fact that this category remains politically most passive. For many years the level of interest in politics among young people has been remaining at a stable, low level. The age is also an important dimension of differentiating the opportunities of applying the Internet to political activity. ; One may say that there are the differences between people who consider new technologies as part of the existing reality (young people are used to them and it is natural for them to use Internet resources in various situations) and those who treat new technologies as a novelty (even if elderly people use the Internet, it is not their habit to use it in order to solve problems). ; Numerous studies, including The Social Diagnosis, have shown that there is a positive relationship between using the Internet, interests in public affairs and participation in the elections. The research conducted in Zielona Gora allows to confirm the thesis about the low level of political activity in young people under 24 years of age. A relatively low level of declared voter turnout - both in the context of the elections which took place several years ago as well as in the future elections - is of a particular importance in this respect. ; The application of modern Internet solutions to political activity also indicates a low level of participation in political life. Young people from Zielona Gora may be considered as relatively passive in this regard (low percentage indications for such activities as: initiating political discourse, persuading someone to support, tracing political debates, etc.). ; Nevertheless, the authors believe that such indications cannot be treated in the categories of democracy crisis, but only as the crisis of its forms. The attention of researchers should be focused nowadays on seeking new, characteristic for political behaviours of young citizens.
