Studenci z niepełnosprawnością mają pełne prawo do sprawnego i aktywnego funkcjonowania w przestrzeni edukacyjnej i społecznej uczelni. Do zadań akademickiej wspólnoty należy tworzenie korzystnych warunków do studiowania i nauki oraz pełnego uczestnictwa w życiu akademickim, a także przeciwdziałanie społecznym i środowiskowym nierównościom. ; Artykuł przedstawia medyczne i społeczne podejście do problematyki niepełnosprawności, jej definicje, dokumenty prawne oraz dane statystyczne dotyczące osób niepełnosprawnych w środowisku akademickim na przykładzie Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego, a także innych uczelni wyższych.
Abstract:
The students with disabilities have full rights of the effective and active functioning in the educational and social space of the university. The task of the academic community is to create favourable conditions for studying and learning and participating in the academic life, as well as to take measures to counteract the social and environmental inequality. ; The current paper deals with the medical and social approaches to the issue of disabilities and presents the statistical data referring to the disabled persons in the academic environment including the examples of the University of Zielona Góra and other institutions of higher education.
