After making the transition after 1989 the creation of Euroregions In Poland became possible. The openness of border greatly contributed to the revival of the Polish border and cross-border cooperation. In the years 1989-1990 the beginning of the process of making various forms of foreign contacts, field of Government has been observed. Of particular importance for established at the German-Polish and Polish-Czech Euroregions was an appointment of Euroregion of Nysa at the first Polish border and in Central and Eastern Europe. ; From 1991 to 1993 it developed in a tripartite system the first experiences in creating institutional foundations for cross-border cooperation. Euroregion Nisa, like the other three Euroregions on the border of the West ("Pomerania", "Pro Europa Viadrina" and "Sprewa-Nysa-Bobr") it was instrumental in creating various forms of cross-border cooperation on Polish borders. Euroregions are a specific form of cross-border cooperation. It covers the area of the administration of at least two countries, situated on the border. They were there to integrate the Member States and candidate for the European Union. They are supported and funded by the organization. Euroregions serve as bridges so they create opportunities for the development of these areas in the social, economic and cultural field.
