Dolański, Dariusz (1966 - ) - red.
This paper focuses on the Polish national press' propaganda on the so-called "Recovered Territories" which peaked in the year 1945, when the fate of those territories was decided and the Polish local administration established - first, as ir were, in a self-styled way (over the period of Febntary- July) and then, after the Potsdam Conference, formally (August-December). ; That period required special propaganda effort in order to convince the international public that those territories needed to be acquired by Poland - and to persuade as many Poles as possible to settle there. ; The author focuses on the propaganda language and argumentation by the communist authorities, whereas the propaganda on the northem and western territories by the opposition press (including the Carholic Church) gets less attention because of its much restricted range - a result of the communist censorship.
