Autorka artykułu proponuje, aby do zestawu pojęć sterujących badaniami dziejów używania języka włączyć PAMIĘĆ. Na przykładach prac leksykologicznych pokazuje, że jest to kategoria odgrywająca znaczną rolę w narracji dziejopisarskiej. ; Podstawą metodologiczną są tutaj prace z zakresu nauk społecznych, głównie historiografii, w których zarówno PAMIĘĆ JEDNOSTKOWA, jak i ZBIOROWA są postrzegane jako kategorie współistniejące z HISTORIĄ lub dla niej alternatywne.
Abstract:
The author proposes incorporating memory in the set of notions which conduct the research on the history of language. She proves that this category plays a significant role in historiographic narration by showing the examples of some lexicological works. ; The methodological basis are the studies from the scope of social science, especially historiography, in which both INDIVIDUAL MEMORY and COLLECTIVE MEMORY are regarded as coexistent with or alternative to HISTORY.
