Abstract:
The paper is devoted to ccrtain applications of mathematical methods within the literature didactics. It is concerned with four main applications which have heen discussed: a) the application of graphemes and matrix to the examination of the structure of the teaching content, the distribution of the teaching material and the unit - structure in the discussion of the literary piece of work. ; b) the application of the probability theory to determining the difficulties and the discriminating power of the tests. c) the application of the statistical methods to the experimental and questionnaire inquiries. d) the application of the computational methods in the evaluating the effectiveness of methods, forms and aids employed in the didactic process. The procedure of statistical inquiry comprises four stages: - the preparation (planning) of the inquiry, the collection of the statistical data, the description of the statistical class, the analysis of the obtained results. ; The conclusions drawn from the empirical inquiry are permitted only when the measurement values from different random cheeks are tested according to their valdity in a proper manner. Applying the mathematical method to the research of the literature didactics we achieve clearness, objectivity, sistematization and preciseness. And the possibility or impossibility of measuring something depends only on the fact if we have the proper method at our disposal.
