The article shows that a written composition with its liberal expression is a parrticulary diagnostic method in empirical researches on the recognition of the way of communing of pupils with a literary work. ; It allows to recognize many different aspects of apprehension, so as motives and criteria of the choice of literature, the skill to identify a work's literary convention, the hierarchy of importance of its components, the pupil's particularisation and way of interpretation of the work and last not least the pupil's principles of appraisal together with his attitude and expectations towards a piece of literary work.
